- Use a Firm Tape Measure:
For the most accurate results, use a firm tape measure instead of a fabric one. - Measure the Width:
Measure from left to right across the widest part of your cushion. Ensure this measurement is as even as possible. If your foam is misshapen (common with older foam), consider adding a layer of Dacron to revive it, rather than buying new foam, which can be expensive. I can provide Dacron—check the fabric selections for more details. - Measure the Depth:
Measure from front to back at the deepest point of your cushion. Make sure the depth is consistent along the entire cushion. - Measure the Thickness:
Measure the height from the base to the top of the cushion to ensure a snug fit. - Double-Check Your Measurements:
Accuracy is key. Measure twice (or even three times) to avoid errors when ordering custom covers.
